Call for Papers
ESRI EMEA Step by Step - Abstract submission guide
[116kb, PDF]
The Call for Papers is now closed.
User paper presentations provide the opportunity to participate and play your part in what promises to be the most exciting and significant GIS user conference of its kind for many years.
User Paper presentations offer the opportunity for the GIS community to benefit directly from the experiences of others in using GIS to address issues of the department, business, organisation or industry. User papers are a key component of the EMEA UC 2008 presentations.
As a speaker the conference will offer you the opportunity to raise the profile of your work, ideas, activities and successes in implementing ESRI GIS solutions; to hear and make direct contributions to wider debates; meet other experts in your market sectors or field and learn from others about practical solutions that can be applied to your own business environment.
Play your part in everyday life
The conference theme is GIS for everyday life, reflecting ESRI (UK)’s vision for geographic information systems to be an indispensable part of daily life. GIS is a powerful technology that is not only becoming a mainstream IT tool, but is quietly changing the way people live their everyday lives.
From the papers submitted, the User Presentations from across Europe, Middle East and Africa will reflect the conference theme and profile excellence in the application of ESRI GIS to solve real world problems for their chosen industry sector or community. These presentations will demonstrate projects or programmes that have made a genuine difference to organisations or communities or the wider environment for example delivering tangible return on investment. Papers submitted will also describe and explain strategic approaches to the adoption of ESRI GIS within your organisation. In all cases it is important to describe lessons learned and issues that have been overcome.
Submitted papers will be split over a number of streams on the second and third days of the event. Each stream will be grouped by sector.
The ESRI EMEA 2008 User Conference provides an excellent opportunity for your company to put forward a speaker who will gain the full attention of an informed and motivated audience.
