You want to live in a world that is more sustainable, more equitable, healthier, cleaner, peaceful, efficient and biodiverse. So what are you doing to create the world you want to see?

Esri UK would like to invite you to take to the stage at the Esri UK Annual Conference 2024 to share how you are using GIS to create a better world. We are looking for enthusiastic and inspiring speakers who can talk about their vision for the future and set out the steps they are taking with GIS to achieve ambitious goals.

Data Visualisation & Mapping

Is Esri’s ArcGIS system helping you to visualise the world you want to see?  Perhaps you have created a 3D digital twin to help people understand the situation today and your aspirations for tomorrow. Tell us why the highly visual maps and StoryMaps you have created will inspire and amaze the audience at the Esri UK annual conference and help to make a difference in our world.

Your presentation could showcase:

  • How you have accessed the ready-to-use world imagery or satellite layers in The Living Atlas, to save time visualising your own data and reveal new patterns or trends.

  • How you have geocoded your data and used the smart mapping tools to create visually stunning maps that simply answer questions that your spreadsheet never could.

  • How you turned your data into a StoryMap, to tell your data story internally within your own organisation and externally.

Collaborative Working

Are you successfully using ArcGIS to share your vision of a better future and help different teams and organisations collaborate on projects with a common goal? You may have created mobile or web-based apps to facilitate better data sharing or built an information hub to enable multiple organisations, partners and stakeholders to work more effectively together. Either way, let us know how ArcGIS is helping you to work with others to make a positive change for the future.

Your presentation could showcase:

  • How you are using ArcGIS apps to collate data and facilitate collaboration between office-based staff and field workers to improve operational processes.

  • How you have created an information hub, enabling key stakeholders to securely share their information for a major infrastructure project, environmental scheme or large-scale event.

  • How you are crowdsourcing information to gather public feedback, involve volunteers or partners and drive change.

Analytical Insights

Is your use of ArcGIS giving you a deeper insight into the challenges our world faces? Most importantly, are you using geospatial analysis to help inform new environmental initiatives, social responsibility projects and better ways of working that will lead to a more sustainable future. Use your submission to explain how you use geospatial analysis to change how organisations and people think, act and dream for the better.

Your presentation could showcase:

  • How you have undertaken spatial analysis to evaluate a situation from multiple perspectives, enabling key stakeholders or customers to make the right decision first time.

  • How you are analysing real-time data from multiple sources, including sensors and the Internet of Things, to react quickly to immediate risks and opportunities.

  • How you are using artificial intelligence such as machine learning or deep learning tools to automate analytical tasks and gain insight from higher volumes of data.
