Training Sessions
We are running two training sessions in the morning and repeating these in the afternoon. Sign up to the morning training sessions when you arrive at the conference and the afternoon sessions on the lunch break. The sessions are:

Introduction to ArcGIS Pro

ArcGIS Pro is Esri’s new flagship desktop product. With ArcGIS Pro, you can visualise, edit, and analyse your geographic data in both 2D and 3D.

This session will introduce you to ArcGIS Pro and in it you will learn how to:

  • Create a project
  • Add data and symbolise it
  • Perform some basic analysis using a model
  • Work in 3D
  • Create a layout ready for printing

This session is ideal for those who have not used ArcGIS Pro before and wish to gain a quick overview of some of its key features.

Story Maps

Esri Story Maps let you combine authoritative maps with narrative text, images, and multimedia content. They make it easy to harness the power of maps and geography to tell your story.

In this session you will create a Story Map which will display a visibility analysis of wind farms in the Lake District. You will learn how to include both 2D and 3D maps, embed video and add images, websites and text to create a compelling Story Map.
