Incident analysis

Incident data by its very nature is inherently spatial, incidents always happen somewhere. With extensive domain knowledge and experience ESRI (UK) can help take event data and turn it into useful intelligence, providing not just location based information, but also advanced temporal and domain specific analysis tools.

Organisations such as the Fire and Ambulance services receive vast quantities of data on a daily basis. It is the job of analysts to take that data, analyse it and provide useful intelligence which can be utilised to reduce crime, spot trends, or examine performance. Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, for example, utilises ESRI (UK)'s GIS to identify fire hotspots, allowing it to target these areas with fire safety campaigns and plan resource deployment more effectively. The temporal analysis tools within ESRI ArcGIS also allow them to accurately identify when fires are occurring, further informing decision making.
