Fast resolution of deliberate or accidental public -safety threatening incidents, for example the fly- tipping of dangerous chemicals, vandalism or arson attempts at a school, require rapid resolution.
ESRI (UK)'s GIS-enabled mobile mapping solutions allow key incident information to be easily captured in real time at the location, quickly and accurately via GPS -enabled handheld devices. When connected, this information can them be fed back with the exact geographic location to a server, updating records automatically for all to see and eliminating a significant amount of administration back at the office.
The fast and accurate capture of this data allows appropriate cleanup operations and investigations to be quickly instigated, and the date logged used for further analysis and preventative action.
