ESRI (UK) hosted this Live Webinar on Thursday 15 April 2010 at 10:00 – 11:00 to preview LocalView Fusion.
LocalView enables the efficient publication of Local Government, location related information online; to the public via the web with LocalView Internet and internally to expert and non expert GI users using LocalView Intranet.
The next generation of this ESRI (UK) solution introduces significant new capabilities:
- Single platform for Internet & Intranet services: Utilise the same tools to create public facing and internal information sharing sites
- Distributable geographic content: LocalView 3 can be used to create GeoWindows that can be embedded in departmental sub sites
- Cloud ready: Publish location - and map-based content on partner sites – fully complementing emerging partnership arrangements with, for example, Police or Health authorities and initiatives such as Total Place
- Intutive: Webmasters and other non GIS specialists will be able to create and publish location-based content easily and productively
- Rapid deployment of web content: Simplified administration means content can be published more rapidly and with greater efficiency
- Web 2.0: Provide citizens with fast, intuitive access to location- based information and enable innovative services such as GeoRSS feeds
