OEM Programme

Solution Partners may also join the ESRI OEM Programme which is aimed at Solution Partners who wish to embed ESRI’s ArcGIS software in their application and who wish to supply their products worldwide.

The ESRI OEM Programme is designed for professional software developers who are focused on building commercial off-the-shelf solutions based on ESRI technologies. The programme provides access to the software, training, marketing opportunities and other tools developers need to grow and be successful.

The main purpose of the OEM Programme is to allow Partners to sublicense ESRI technologies that have been embedded within their value-added application. By embedding ESRI software within their application, Partners are able to deliver a solution under their own product brand name. Delivering a product in this manner is ideal when it is determined that end user needs are best provided with a “single” software solution. OEM Application Resellers are authorised to sublicense their value-added OEM solutions worldwide.

The OEM Programme is powerful because it offers cost-effective pricing combined with global distribution rights. The OEM Programme requires a strong commitment from the Partner in terms of development, support, and marketing resources. Partners must meet many technical requirements. In addition, they are required to provide their own support and training resources; ESRI expects them to build and sustain a product rather than just an application.
