How does ArcLogistics work?
The widespread popularity of in-car navigation systems has resulted in the production of detailed street level mapping for Europe including the UK. Unlike conventional paper maps this navigation data is in the form of a logical network that can be navigated by a computer algorithm.
ArcLogistics calculates the locations of your deliveries on this logical network using sophisticated address matching. Based on these locations it computes an origin-destination cost matrix. It then uses the most powerful computer algorithms available to calculate the optimum network route through these deliveries using either distance or time as minimising constraints.

The system then applies further constraints including customer time windows and vehicle capacity and characteristics to design the optimum route plan for a given set of deliveries against your specific fleet and customer requirements. The result is a set of routes, manifest and maps that represent your deliveries. These can be visualised and adjusted on screen or printed and given to your drivers.
