Geography is part of our everyday lives - it`s everywhere! It`s part of our neighbourhood, our nation, our planet. It`s part of the things we come in contact with everyday - weather, traffic, the quality of our water and land, the economy. 

Through the power of geographic infomation systems or GIS (computerised mapping), geography has become more important than ever before. GIS can be used to assists teachers, students, and their schools to answer geographic questions, and to help foster critical thinking and problem solving to prepare our 21st century workforce with the skills and geographical awareness to sustain our fragile world.
