ArcView for Schools

ArcView 9.3 is a more advanced GIS, completely compatible with DigitalWorlds. Once a school has become familiar with DigitalWorlds it may wish to progress to ArcView to allow students to carry out more sophisticated GIS analysis.

In ArcView students can carry out the same tasks and analysis as in DigitalWorlds, but in addition, because ArcView has more advanced tools and functions, they can take their analysis to the next level. For example, students can combine data from many different data sources, allowing them to identify previously unknown spatial relationships. Students can also use the graph wizard to display their results and create more professional maps. However, because of the more complex nature of ArcView, we recommend that schools new to GIS begin with DigitalWorlds, our entry level GIS specially designed for schools.

ArcView comes with a comprehensive range of maps, data, and lesson plans, allowing teachers to deliver stimulating lessons and learning experiences for their students.

ArcView is frequently used in business and government, which means students acquire skills they can use in higher education and their future careers.
