Notes for Entrants

Thank you for you interest in the ESRI (UK) GIS Excellence Awards, a new awards ceremony to recognise the efforts and achievements of ESRI (UK) customers in the use of ESRI GIS.

Please read these notes before completing your Entry Form(s) as they will hopefully answer any questions you may have. Please complete and return your entry or entries as quickly as possible, but please no later than the closing date of 23 March 2007.

The Awards Categories

There are six awards in total:

• Five project categories; four for different industry sectors and one Return On Investment (ROI) category open to organisations from any sector
• Premier award for the best overall project.

Entries may be submitted to one of the industry sector categories or the ROI category. The same entry may additionally be submitted to the Premier award category.  This requires no additional action other than to indicate entry on the entry form.

Who can enter?

• Entrants must be current customers of ESRI (UK)
• Projects must be live as at 1 March 2007
• At least one member of the organisation entering the awards must be attending the GIS Tech Conference Dinner on 24 April 2007.

You may enter as many projects as you wish in either the same or different categories but each project requires a separate entry form.

N.B. There is a different entry form for the ROI category.

Submission of entry forms

The closing date is 23 March 2007. If you are unsure of which category to enter, please send in your entry requesting confirmation that the category entered is correct.  We will notify you if we feel that you have entered the wrong category and gain your agreement to change it.

The ESRI (UK) GIS Excellence Awards are free to enter
