Award Entry Rules
Any type of eligible organisation (that is, a current ESRI (UK) customer) may enter for any (or all) of the awards. This includes Companies, Government Departments, Public Bodies, Membership Societies, Partnerships, Trusts, Charities etc.
- Projects must be live as at 1 March 2007
- All entries will be considered on the basis of the judging criteria. No project will be deemed too small or too large to be considered
- The Entry Form(s) should be completed and sent to lkilroy@esriuk.com. The closing date for all entries to all award categories is 23 March 2007. Extensions may be granted in exceptional circumstances, but an extension must be requested prior to the official closing date. ESRI (UK) reserves the right not to accept entries submitted after this date.
- All information given must be true and accurate and a fair reflection of the facts. Entries found to contain false information will be disqualified.
- The judges’ decision is final. No discussion or correspondence relating to the judges’ decisions will be entered into by the judging panel, sponsors, organisers or other representatives.
- The names of winners or runners-up will not be revealed prior to the Awards presentation to be held on 24 April 2007.
- ESRI (UK) reserves the right to use the names, entry details, photos, etc, of the runners up and winners of all award categories on the Awards web page and in future promotions and award events.
- Entry material will be deemed strictly private and confidential until the Awards ceremony has taken place, after which, ESRI (UK), unless specifically requested by the Project Owner in writing in advance not to do so, reserves the right to make selections of the entry material available to the media for publicity of the Awards programme, on the Awards web page or via other Awards-related media.
- Organisations entering the awards automatically agree that ESRI (UK) may contact them after the Awards ceremony to discuss further PR opportunities for publicising their project. If entrants do not wish to be contacted in this manner they must notify ESRI (UK) in writing when submitting their entry.
- Neither ESRI (UK) nor its agents, representatives or partners will (to the extent permitted by law) be liable or responsible for any loss, alleged loss, error, omission, consequential damage or other claim whatsoever for loss or damage in connection with the ESRI (UK) GIS Excellence Awards.
- By completing the Entry Form, entrants to the awards are deemed to have accepted and agree to be bound by these Award Entry Rules.
- These Award Entry Rules are subject exclusively to English law and jurisdiction.
