The QEII Conference Centre works with its clients to pursue and promote sustainable events throughout the entire event lifecycle. It maintains effective systems to monitor, measure and assess the use of resources and the environmental effects of operations.

QEII Taste, by Levy UK + Ireland, are the QEII Centre’s award-winning caterers. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do and to help you make better food choices, we have the Foodsteps carbon-labelling system on our menus so that you can see the environmental impact of the dishes that you select. Using this Esri UK have selected a fully vegan plant-forward lunch menu for you to enjoy this year. Our box menu is a great option for a smooth service and the boxes are made from recycled materials which are then recycled further post event.

The company appointed to film and produce Esri UK’s Customer Success Award videos has made a 29-step pledge to improve its sustainability. Measures currently being undertaken by Seven Video range from incorporating environmental factors into business decisions to reducing energy consumption and minimising travel.

D2R Printing aims to minimise any adverse environmental effects resulting from its operations, both in the sourcing of products and through to its day-to-day activities. CrowdComms provides event registration and self-service kiosks designed to make check-in fast, flexible and more sustainable. Using print-on-demand technology, badges are only produced when an attendee arrives, removing the need for pre-printing and significantly reducing waste from no-shows and last-minute changes.

We offer a range of eco-friendly badge stock as standard, including pouchless options that remove the need for plastic holders while still delivering a professional finish. The result is a low-waste, efficient check-in experience for both organisers and attendees.

Exhibition supplier Alchemy Expo use a modular stand building system made from aluminium, that can be reused and is fully renewable at the end of it’s life cycle. All the hardware rental will have been used at a previous event or will be used again for future events. However, when reuse isn’t an option, their waste is diverted away from landfill into recycling and recovery. All graphic fabrics will be produced using energy efficient large format printers, which use naturally eco-friendly odourless, low VOC and nontoxic Water-based ink.

The company engaged to provide reusable flags for the exterior of the QEII Conference Centre has a comprehensive group environmental policy. It is committed to minimising its environmental impact, recycling materials where possible and ensuring equipment is energy efficient.

Presentation training for speakers is being provided by SecondNature Int’l - a passionate team who live and breathe sustainability in both their professional and personal lives. The co-owners of SecondNature lead by example, sourcing their electricity entirely from renewables, recycling and reusing wherever possible, and planting nearly 200 native trees over the past four years. As proud Members of 1% For The Planet, SecondNature also donates 1% of their annual revenue to impactful organisations that champion environmental causes worldwide.

City Furniture Hire are committed to sustainability and actively seek greener ways to operate, from their procurement processes to the donation or recycling of items no longer fit for hire. Products are sourced from environmentally responsible manufacturers only, and the company has a growing fleet of electric vehicles.
