Travelling by train: Open Innovations is a 10-15 minute walk from the Leeds railway station.When you arrive, go out of the front entrance and head left towards City Square. Take the pedestrian crossing towards the right onto Boar Lane. Follow Boar Lane along past the edge of the Trinity Shopping Centre to a large round building - the Corn Exchange. Take the left-hand road at the Corn Exchange - Call Lane - and then join New York Street (which becomes York Street). Follow this along past the bus station and you should see Munro House on the other side of the dual carriageway.

Travelling by car: There is no on-site parking, however there is on-street pay-and-display directly outside the building on St Peter's Square and pay-and-display car parks at Quarry Hill behind the West Yorkshire Playhouse and NCP Markets at the Leeds Kirkgate Market. Blue badge holders can park on St Peter's Square free of charge (subject to spaces being available).

Tim Marshall was Diplomatic Editor and foreign correspondent for Sky News. After thirty years’ experience in news reporting and presenting, he left full-time news journalism to concentrate on writing and analysis. He has published a number of critically acclaimed books including the Sunday Times best-seller: ‘Prisoners of Geography – Ten Maps That Tell You Everything You Need to Know About Global Politics’, which explores the role of geography in current affairs and history and has sold more than one and a half million copies worldwide. His latest book is the follow up to Prisoners - titled ‘Power of Geography’.

You will hear, first hand, about the challenges overcome during the migration from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro and learn how the council is using solutions including ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Survey123 and ArcGIS Field Maps to extend the reach of GIS from the cloud to the citizen.

In this session, you will discover the different free and premium data services Esri UK provides that will help you to minimise the overheads of managing third-party data and maximise the time you have available for analysis and interpretation.

Getting hands-on with new features in the data > map > app workflow

In this Learning Services workshop, you will gain hands-on experience of how to optimise the Data > Map > App workflow. Accessing authoritative data from the ArcGIS Living Atlas, you will use the new Map Viewer to build a simple web map, employing cartographic effects and even a bar chart. To complete the workflow, you will share the web map using Chart Viewer, one of the easily configurable ArcGIS Instant Apps.
