Background
The Geospatial Intelligence Special Interest Group (GISIG) is a military-led community of interest study day for the Defence, Intelligence, National Security and Public Safety community and Academia. Now in its 14th year, the next GISIG will be hosted on Tuesday 20 Nov 2018 at the Defence Academy, Shrivenham. It brings together those involved or interested in exploiting the full potential of Geospatial Intelligence, it affords the opportunity to share experience and expertise through a series of presentations, discussion groups and networking breaks. This year’s event is focused on developing the understanding of High Impact Geospatial Analysis, by asking the question “What is the Art of the Possible?”

General
The day will comprise a series of presentations, question and answer sessions, and a ‘Capability Expo’ over an extended lunch and throughout the day, where a range of geospatial capabilities industry specialists will be on hand to discuss, debate and answer your further questions. Location
In the Conference Hall at the Technology School, the Defence Academy, SHRIVENHAM, Oxfordshire, SN6 8LA.

Timings
Between 0900 and 1600hrs on Tue 20 Nov 18, with registration from 0830hrs.

Security
All delegates must be in possession of photo ID; the wearing of ID whilst on site is mandatory. Photo ID will be required when booking in at the Main Guardroom. Please allow 30 minutes for this process.

Presentations
Delegates wishing to deliver a presentation related to the theme should make themselves known to the undersigned at the earliest opportunity. Presentations are to be 20 minutes in duration plus 10 minutes Q&A. Final presentations are to be submitted via email to aaron.ashcroft365@mod.gov.uk Friday 9th November 2018.

Capability Expo
Organisations that are interested in providing a demonstration of their capability during the designated periods are kindly requested to make themselves known to the undersigned soonest, considerations should include space and access requirements. As real estate is at a premium early engagement is recommended.

Transportation
Delegates are to arrange their own transportation to and from the Defence Acadamy, Shrivenham.

Dress
Dress for the duration event is either PCSU (serving personnel only) or Smart Civilian for all delegates.

Throughout the event refreshments will be available. A buffet lunch will be kindly provided by the main sponsor, ESRI UK.
