Este Geraghty, MD, MS, MPH, CPH, GISP

Este Geraghty, MD, MS, MPH, CPH, GISP is the Chief Medical Officer at Esri Global. She leads Esri's worldwide health and human services practice and is passionate about transforming health organisations through a geographic approach. Dr Geraghty is the author of numerous health and GIS peer reviewed papers and book chapters. She has lectured extensively around the world on a broad range of topics that include social determinants of health, open data, climate change, homelessness, access to care, opioid addiction, privacy issues and public health preparedness. She received her medical degree, master's degree in health informatics, and master's degree in public health from UC Davis. She is board certified in public health (CPH) and is also a geographic information system professional (GISP).

Stephen Milne

Stephen Milne is the Innovation Lead for Internet of Things (IoT) and Healthcare Technologies within CENSIS, the Innovation Centre for sensing, imaging and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. Stephen is experienced in designing, managing, and implementing projects for commercial product ideas with both a hardware and software focus.

Jonathan McDougall is a Data Architect within the Data, Research, and Innovation team at Stirling Council. Jonathan's background is within GIS and Asset-Based systems.

Gillian Docherty OBE

The Data Lab is an innovation centre with a mission of maximising the value for Scotland from data, facilitating partnerships between industry and academia, supporting data science and artificial intelligence projects as well as funding and running first class, ground-breaking education programmes. Gillian is passionate about the opportunity for using Data to drive economic and social benefits. Formerly of IBM, Gillian is a visiting professor at Robert Gordon University, a TED speaker and was named Digital Leader 2018 for the UK. Gillian was named CEO of the year at the Digital Technology Awards 2017 and was also in the UK’s top ten most influential people in data according to DataIQ. Gillian is on the Board of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, a trustee of Beyonder Involve Charity and an Industry advisor to Previse. Gillian has a degree in Computing Science from the University of Glasgow, an Honorary Doctorate from Robert Gordon University and is married with a daughter.

Kimberley Hose

Kimberley leads a broad range of innovative data analytics projects for GCC that provide opportunities for informing policy, transforming services, and delivering better outcomes for the people of Glasgow. She is a member of the Digital Glasgow Board that is responsible for overseeing the development of the Digital Glasgow Strategy, and is actively involved in developing data analytics capabilities across Scottish Local Government in collaboration with the Digital Office for Scottish Local Government. Kimberley has 25 years valuable experience of programme and project management, including 14 years in local government implementing major IT change programmes.

Head of Data Standards, The Scottish Government

Shona Nicol

Shona Nicol is the Head of Technical Data Policy Team in the Scottish Government’s Digital Directorate. Her main role is to drive the implementation of Data Standards, ensuring Scotland’s public sector data assets can be accessed and reused to support improvement and innovation in our public services. The team also covers Open Data and Data Innovation. Her previous role was Head of the Geographical Information Science and Analysis Team (GI-SAT) in the Scottish Government.

Geospatial Expert, EDINA

Guy McGarva

Guy McGarva is a geospatial expert with EDINA at the University of Edinburgh. Guy is a member of the team delivering EDINA's flagship Digimap service. Guy is responsible for developing innovative geospatial solutions covering diverse areas including green infrastructure mapping, indoor building navigation and 3d building modelling. Guy is an expert in the full Esri product stack.

Heather Smith
