  • Esri and the scientific community

Science helps us understand not only how the Earth works but also how it looks (geodesign) and how we look at it (Earth observation). We support the science community and seek to do good science at Esri, as it underpins much of what we do as an organisation. This also helps us evolve ArcGIS into a comprehensive geospatial platform for science.

  • Esri's ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World

Underpinning all our science initiatives is the Living Atlas, one of the world's best compilations of government and commercial geographic information. This resource enables great mapping and analytics, secure sharing and collaboration, compelling science communication via storytelling, and an ecosystem where models and maps can be shared to further understanding.

Science underpins everything that Esri produces. We develop for and support a number of sciences. We're very excited about all the things that we're doing across all the environmental sciences. This is embedded in what we do—to strengthen the foundation of our software and services; to research, publish, communicate, and serve alongside the scientific community; and to inspire positive change in society.
