Are you an avid follower of top English football? At Esri UK, we see the geographic dimension even in our interests. So tracked the arrivals and departures at the top clubs this autumn. Over the years, as football’s popularity has surged, transfers have become increasingly international - reflecting different trends as new countries invest in their football infrastructure.
By presenting this data in an ArcGIS Dashboard, users can easily compare the transfer activities of different clubs. ArcGIS Dashboards excel at filtering data, allowing all components to interact seamlessly. This setup enables users to drill down into each club’s transfers, both incoming and outgoing, as well as transfers from different regions, transforming an initially confusing dataset into an engaging and insightful experience.
If you have your Dashboard in a working state and want to make some changes to any of the actions, duplicate it in case you need to roll-back to the previous version.
By using this tool, you can have layers appear only when filtered allowing you to have some cool effects in your dashboard. This would also be a good way to manage high volume data sets.
By using both you can do all the heavy lifting in ArcGIS Pro and then upload to ArcGIS Online to iron out any symbology issues.
